Accessibility
Spaceferret is a directory of event venues in Ho Chi Minh City. We want event organisers to be able to find, compare, and enquire about spaces regardless of how they use the web — with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or any other assistive technology.
This statement sets out what we have done, what we know is not yet right, and how to reach us if something blocks you.
Conformance
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
This site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conforms" means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet. Those parts are listed under "What we know is not right yet", below.
We last tested the site on 2 September 2026, using automated testing across every page and screen size, and manual testing with a keyboard and no mouse. We have not yet tested it with a screen reader. That gap is the main reason this statement says "partially conforms" rather than "conforms", and it is the first thing we intend to close.
How we tested
We check this site using:
- Automated testing across every page, at desktop, laptop, tablet and phone widths, and at 400% zoom.
- Manual keyboard testing, using no mouse: every interactive element on the home page, the directory, a space page and the enquiry form was reached and operated by keyboard alone, and the focus indicator was checked at each stop.
- Colour contrast measured against the values the site actually renders, not against the palette on paper.
Most recent full review: 2 September 2026. Next scheduled review: March 2027. We also re-test whenever we change how listings, filters, or the enquiry form work.
What we do not yet do, and intend to add: testing with NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android, and testing on real handsets rather than emulated screen sizes.
What we have built for accessibility
- The whole site can be operated with a keyboard alone, including the filters, the comparison view, and the enquiry form.
- A skip link to move straight to the main content.
- A visible focus indicator at every point you can reach with a keyboard, designed so it stays visible against both light and dark backgrounds.
- Text alternatives for images that describe the space and how it is set up, rather than repeating the venue name.
- The comparison view is a real table, so a screen reader can tell you which space each figure belongs to.
- Amenity information as text, with unknowns stated openly as "Not listed" rather than left blank, and never shown by a symbol or a colour alone.
- Form labels that stay visible, and errors explained in text next to the field they concern, with a summary at the top of the form linking to each one.
- Nothing you have typed is lost when a form is returned with an error.
- Layout that reflows to narrow screens and to 400% zoom without the page itself scrolling sideways. Wide tables — the comparison view, and the company details in our Terms — scroll sideways inside their own frame, because a table that wide has to, and you can scroll them with a keyboard.
- Reduced-motion support for people who have that preference set.
What we know is not right yet
We would rather tell you this than let you find it.
We have not tested this site with a screen reader. Everything above describes how the site is built, and we have checked the code and the keyboard behaviour carefully. But we have not sat down with NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack and listened to it. Until we do, we cannot promise it sounds right, only that it is built right. If you use a screen reader and something does not work, please tell us — you will be telling us something we do not yet know.
Vietnamese names are not marked as Vietnamese. Venue, ward and district names such as Thảo Điền or Villa Sông Saigon are not tagged in the code as Vietnamese, so a screen reader set to English will pronounce them with English sounds. This affects screen-reader users. We expect to fix this.
Filtering moves you back to the top of the page. When you apply a filter using a keyboard, focus returns to the top rather than staying where you were, and the number of results found is not announced. The count is shown in text above the results. We expect to fix this.
Closing an enlarged photo returns you to the top of the page rather than to the photo you opened it from. We expect to fix this.
The map is not yet keyboard operable. It is a feature still in development. Every address shown on the map is also written out as text beside it, so no location information is available only through the map.
Content supplied by third parties, including venue photographs, may not always meet the standard. Where that is the case we describe the space in text instead. All decision-relevant information about a space — capacity, layout, amenities, constraints — is available as text on the same page, so no fact about a venue exists only inside a photograph.
Tell us if something is not working
If you cannot use part of this site, please tell us. We will help you get what you need and we will fix the problem.
Email: josselin.ferruzza@arcltd.net
Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If it helps, tell us what browser and assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within five working days. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
Enquiring about a venue another way
You do not have to use the online form. If the enquiry form is difficult for you to use, email us at josselin.ferruzza@arcltd.net with the space you are interested in, your event dates, and expected numbers, and we will take it from there.
